SIGNS THAT IT’S TIME TO CHANGE JOB
Do you feel as though the job you have right now is dragging you down? Maybe you feel as though you are not progressing and want to try and make a positive change. Either way, this guide will help you to find out if now is the right time for you to find a different industry to work in, or if you should stick things out.
A Layoff is Imminent
It’s safe to say that in recent years, the economy has been in a bit of a tailspin. If you are working in an industry that is susceptible to negative economy effects then this could mean that you need to start looking for a new position. If you know that your co-workers are being laid off or if you know that other companies are taking drastic measures then this is a major sign that things are not at all stable. It may be that your workload has decreased significantly or even that key accounts are having a hard time with payments. If you can jump on your job search right now then this will help you out quite a lot in the future. If you want to try and gain entry into an industry that is solid then why not take a scientific diver course and look into marine science?
You Feel Bad at Night
Do you dream of greener pastures? Maybe you feel as though every night feels like Sunday, and that you are anxious or stressed about work every day. Either way, you need to make a change here. It may be that you don’t get on with your co-workers or that you are working in a working environment that is subpar. If this is the case then you need to try and dust off your resume and you need to focus on making sure that you focus on yourself more.
You Have No Flexibility
If you find that your current job doesn’t give you any flexibility at all then this is a major sign that things have to change. It may be that you are not able to pick up the kids from school when you want or that you are having a hard time adjusting to the new working schedule. Of course, companies are now giving people the chance to work from home more than ever before so it is a good idea for you to try and capitalise on this. Find a company who are able to respect your current schedule and who are happy for you to work around the commitments you have, so you can better yourself and your lifestyle.
Of course, if you are stuck in a job that just doesn’t make you happy or if you feel as though you are being limited then now is the time for you to take action on that. If you don’t then you may find that you end up being stuck and that it is eventually too late for you to make a drastic change.
